March and April

Sport Stacking




Students had a lot of fun learning about Sport Stacking. Sport Stacking or Speed Stacks is an individual and team sport. It develops hand-eye coordination, quickness and concentration. Sport Stacking exercises both sides of their bodies and brains and develops lifelong skills.

Basketball Skills

"Ball handling involves knowledge of the game and integrates dribbling, passing and decision-making. Practicing and improving your dribbling is a simple task." 

Grades K to 4 have been working on ball handling skills such as dribbling with both hands, changing direction, passing and shooting at a target.

Underhand and Overhand Throwing



For the months of January and February, the focus has been on throwing and catching techniques. Students have engaged in a variety of team and individual games. Such as hot potatoe, skittle ball and monster ball. Each game focuses on practicing the specific throwing and catching cues seen above. The games were modified slightly to follow proper COVID sanitizing protocols. 

The students learned about demonstrating good sportsmanship in a competitive game situations.
